Miles has been a wonderful financial adviser with me since 2021. He provides incredibly sound financial advice from his depth and knowledge, that is considered towards my personal commitments. Miles is encouraging and supportive which gives him an unparalleled approach in creating the best in my financial circumstances. His team are also incredible. I feel very supported in many ways.
Miles has provided clear and excellent advice on our investment options as we moved from full time employment to retirement. He has explained in simple terms where the benefits and risks lie and has made a complex situation a lot easier for us to understand. He has provided us with a long term investment plan and he has helped us with decisons that needed to be made to secure our financial future. This has included guidance on state and private pensions and how we should deal with interitance tax for our children. Nothing has ever been a problem for Miles and his team and they have been efficient and responsive with any actions from our financial reviews. We highly recommend his services.
I needed someone to advise on Inheritance Tax. I initially spent weeks researching solicitors because I thought it was something that they dealt with. Most of them said they did but two of them were honest enough to admit that a financial adviser would be the most suitable person. Then I spent several weeks researching financial advisers. I read the reviews. I decided on Miles because he is an expert with great reviews, and on the phone he came across as the nicest and unpretentious. All the good things written about him are true. I deal with people who I like as human beings. I found Miles to be approachable and relatable. I like his outlook on life; similar to mine. He can just as well deal with someone who has £10 as well as £10 million. I liked it that when I met him he was not wearing a suit and tie and the meeting was in an informal setting. That put me at ease. I enjoyed the meeting. Miles is also practical and honest. He is knowledgeable with the technicalities and he can explain them clearly to a layperson. I was very happy to pay Miles’ professional fee because it was money well spent. I have no hesitation in dealing with him in future.
Miles Novotny at Fernbank / SJP is a truly excellent financial planner and adviser. Having met Miles through a non-financial network over 8 years ago, he has since provided me with excellent advice in terms of managing our wealth but also many other aspects of our financial planning, and we continue to transfer more assets under his care due to the successes & peace of mind provided to date. I would strongly recommend a catch up with Miles if you’re seeking advice for the first time or need a second opinion with regards to your financial planning - he is very approachable and good at simplifying some of the more nuanced aspects of wealth management.
