I required information about retiring early and the impact of this on my pension payments. A meeting was very easy to organise through the EIS and they put me in touch with my area Financial Services advisor, Neil McDowall. He promptly attended to my request and provided me with the information I needed ,offering considerate, sensitive and honest advice. Neil spoke me through the SPPA document and cleared up some confusion I had regarding the Legacy/ CARE pension schemes and provided me with an estimate of my possible payments. Neil then showed me how to complete the documentation required to begin the process with my employer. I can not thank Neil enough for the time he spent with me explaining and answering my questions and making the process much clearer. I very much appreciate the time and effort he put into my case and will be recommending him to my fellow colleagues.

I needed some financial advice about my public sector pension options. Initially I was offered an appointment a couple of weeks away as it was a busy time due to the end of the financial year. As soon as Steven Haldane, EIS Financial Services) learned that I had a limited timeframe, he managed to fit me in with a call the next day. Steven was friendly, knowledgeable and really clear in explaining things. He gave me the advice I needed to make a decision and complete the forms for SPPA. I realise now that had I not had this conversation with Steven I would probably have made the wrong choices. He understood my situation perfectly and did not try and ‘push’ products or talk me into anything, advising me to enjoy the last days of working and relax into retirement, with a view to contacting him again further down the line for either a face-to-face meeting or Teams call, whichever I prefer.
