We have used Andy Peters for many years now and he has always provided us with a first class service. He began by amalgamating pensions into one pot and then gave us investment advice for capital sums. He is always available either by phone or email and is a very reassuring and experienced advisor.
Steve has been advising me for about 3 years now and implemented the consolidation of my (numerous) pension funds into one, maximizing the tax opportunities at the same time. My lifestyle (part retired / sometimes working) is well catered for by the pension portfolio set up by Steve and I'll probably be approaching Steve soon to discuss other opportunities for investment. Steve's approach with my annual review is to keep things as simple as possible and I never feel belittled with my, what may seem like, uniformed or naïve questions to Steve who always has a very approachable and unrushed approach to things. I think I can sleep tight at night knowing my investments are in good hands!
Rob Young at Black Swan took over my business from my former longstanding financial advisor who was retiring. He has consistently been courteous and helpful and I feel my finances are still in very safe hands.

Jim Anderson, was the first advisor I’d met who could explain clearly the various options, leaving my in a position where I understood the benefits and possible disadvantages. My wife and I were left a legacy which we wanted to invest in something that would give us a better return than the normal banks and building societies. For this we needed someone professional who was working for a company with an excellent reputation. Rob Young came to us on recommendation and after an initial meeting knew that he was the person for us. He carefully guided us through the various pros and cons of investments in terms that we could readily understand. He constantly advised us that our investment was 'at risk!' To help counter this we filled out a long questionnaire to ascertain the amount of risk we wanted to take . independently my wife and I came out roughly the same 'score' with me a little more risk adverse than she was. Rob Young then explained what he proposed and set about investing our funds. In these difficult times, especially with Covid, we have seen a good increase in our portfolio. Rob is always on hand to answer any questions and explain the most tax efficient way to move our funds about. Black Swan and Rob are in constant touch with thoughts and ideas, but not so often that they become a nuisance. We would certainly recommend others to Black Swan and, in particular Rob Young, who has done such a good job on our behalf over the years. In fact, we have already recommended him.
