Unfair price hiking and terrible service via Moneysupermarket As a busy UK taxi driver, my time is money. I got an online insurance quotation on Moneysupermarket, but the lack of an online payment option was the first red flag. When I phoned the company with my reference number, they played games and tried to fish for more money by claiming the system was down or the reference was invalid. They went through all the questions again simply to increase the price and ignore the original online deal. This is completely dishonest and plays with the emotions of working people. Moneysupermarket needs to vet these dishonest companies properly, and the government authorities need to enforce strict rules against these trap tactics. I 100% avoid and warn others against these companies. Only deal with genuine insurers who honor their original online quotation.
