My recent encounters with Howdens Insurance have left me deeply dissatisfied and frustrated. Despite explicitly opting out of further communication after requesting a quote, I found myself bombarded with calls, despite clearly expressing my disinterest during our initial conversation. This disregard for my preferences and privacy is concerning. Upon returning their call after numerous attempts, it became evident that their main objective was to obtain my name and date of birth, information I was unwilling to provide. Despite my refusal, the representatives persisted, displaying rudeness and patronizing behavior, eventually transferring me to a continuously ringing line. This lack of professionalism raises serious doubts about the quality of service one would receive if they had a policy with them. Despite my efforts to address the issue by contacting them multiple times and speaking to different agents, the situation remained unchanged. Only after speaking with a manager was I assured that my details would be removed, though I remain skeptical about whether this will actually stop the calls. This experience underscores serious concerns about Howdens Insurance's commitment to ethical customer interaction and data protection. Their persistence in seeking information despite clear objections, alongside ongoing unwanted contact, undermines trust and professionalism. I strongly caution others against engaging with Howdens Insurance, as they do not demonstrate genuine respect for customer boundaries and privacy rights. PS... I have reported the situation to the ICO (Information Commissioner's Office).
