After 20 odd years with Howdens (previously A-Plan) it looks like the we will be moving away. Car insurance quotation for renewal was crazy high and unlike previous years, no consideration for all our various insurance types being with them, or for the years we’ve used them. Quotation using same parameters has come in £150 cheaper for multiple companies else where, and unfortunately that can’t be ignored. Really disappointing after so long with them!

Insured with them end of last year on a car bought for my son with the intention of adding him on his 17th birthday in April and told them this intention.Unfortunately they put me with a company that would not allow a provisional license holder on the policy. Not at all happy as had to cancel one policy and take out another with a different company. This will have cost me more than just the extra I would have had to pay to add him. Like to support my local businesses however not when it costs a lot more and these sort of things happen.

Great price for my van insurance. Face to face arrangements, easy to understand agents who could not be more helpful. A breath of fresh air. well done Howdens.
