What customers say

Based on genuine customer reviews

Reaching a real person on the phone is the thread that runs through feedback about this Stoke-on-Trent insurance broker, with reviewers contrasting that accessibility with the automated chat and online-only handling they had encountered elsewhere. Customers describe getting through to staff who take time to talk through policies and renewal prices, and several mention how much simpler the process feels when questions can be raised and answered directly. The helpfulness of the team comes through in accounts of sorting out cover and discussing options, and reviewers repeatedly note that speaking to someone knowledgeable removes much of the frustration associated with managing insurance.

A point made in several accounts is the value placed on conversation over chatbots, particularly for those who have moved from providers where human contact was difficult to obtain. Speed of response and a willingness to engage with individual circumstances also feature in what people write, alongside appreciation for clear explanations during renewals. That personal exchange, rather than any particular product, is what customers tend to single out when describing their experience of dealing with the broker.

Where do you start with some of their operatives, i had an accident (not my fault) they passed me straight on to the underwriter who wouldn't give me a curtesy car but asked me to get a taxi from Birmingham to my home in Dorset(there's the first complaint). Had to pay my own way home, three weeks later I'm still out of pocket, and because of their incompetence i missed the funeral of a closer friend( no apology, no ones cares) No communication from them about the accident till I contacted them three days later asking about a curtesy car to find they hadn't recorded the accident(second complaint). Look at the website and they will tell how they should deal with complaints and a time line. Phoned up about my first about my complaint to find they hadn't recorded them, yes that correct yet again they hadn't recorded the information, so now I have to file a complaint about my complaint, during the filing of this complaint I found out I wasn't actually talking to the complaint's dept, it was just an operative who will forward it on(this happened last time on the initial complaint that wasn't recorded). so I lodge another complaint about the mishandling of this complaint(think that's four complaints now)......the incompetence level is staggering, if the company I work for dealt with customers like this we wouldn't have any customers left.....the two gentleman I eventually spoke too dealt with the matter thoroughly and correctly.......but the procedures and processes this company have, are not being followed and there is some serious training to take place 0 stars out of 5 Already cancelled my automatic renewal and would never, ever recommend Use this company at your peril, you have been warned

Applied for car insurance online. They contacted me to say i had not disclosed a non fault claim and wanted to charge an extra £170 so i cancelled (policy was not due to start for another week), and they still charged me £40 to cancel it! This was all done within and hour!

Over two days I’ve wasted four hours and a half of my life trying to renew a policy and then finding out when someone drove into my vehicle that I was found at fault without anyone ever talking to me to confirm the story or actually seeing pictures of the damage of which there was no damage to my vehicle… The mind boggles as it opt my insurance policy by £1500…

I am extremely disappointed with the service I have received from Autonet Insurance. I recently received notification that my car insurance policy is being canceled on the grounds that I allegedly provided incorrect information regarding my vehicle purchase. This accusation is completely untrue, and I am shocked by the lack of fairness and understanding in handling this matter. At no point did I provide false information, and I have done everything in good faith to ensure my policy remains accurate and up to date. Rather than working with me to clarify any misunderstandings, Autonet has opted to cancel my policy without reasonable justification. This not only leaves me in a difficult position but also raises concerns about the reliability and integrity of the company’s policies and customer service. As a paying customer, I expect transparency, professionalism, and fair treatment. Instead, I have been met with poor communication and an unwillingness to properly address my concerns. I urge Autonet to review this matter thoroughly and reconsider their decision, as canceling a customer’s policy without a valid reason is unacceptable. I sincerely hope this review encourages Autonet to improve its approach to customer service and policy management. I will also be sharing my experience with relevant consumer protection bodies to ensure that other customers do not face similar unjust treatment. insurance policy (TX102396034932)

Terrible company to deal with. Called to cancel my renewal over 1 week before my renewal date. 4 days later they took a full years premium for the renewal (before renewal date). Called to get a refund and make sure the customer service advisor had cancelled my policy at renewal. Told it will take 3-10working days for refund. Policy was renewed due to them having a new system in place. Customer service advisor was terrible on the phone and kept putting me on holding every time I asked a question, without telling me what he was doing. I asked to speak to a manager and he told me he didn’t have a manager or a supervisor! They have taken money without authorization and then do not pay it back! I would not recommend this company to handle any of your insurance policies.
