Horrible. Had to wait 3 weeks for call back from free 24/7 legal helpline which supposed to be included in the policy . That was only after making formal complaint. Waited for 3 weeks to hear that will not cover my legal expenses. Please note that your reply to my post is not true and full picture of what happened. Because I missed 3 calls on one day as I was told I have to go back to your company ( source insurance) again to get someone from free helpline to call me back . I called back your company ( source insurance) and I was told that someone will call me again and no one did . I had to make formal complaint for someone to call me back. I got very vague advice via helpline 2 short phone calls and second person only asked me really if I can confirm that I was called back. When I made a complaint, I had to explain to 3 different people why I was making complaint, staff was rude too me . I when I first the called legal expenses team , person on the phone told , I should not seek any help I was all my fault that I bought the flat , which turn out to have serious repairs done

AVOID AT ALL COST!!!!! disgusting service . Had leak in bathroom back in January paid for our own builders and plumbers as requested and after 8 months of messing us around finally came a removed shower and inspected themselves. Have agreed is as bad as our builder said 4 months ago and now have left bathroom with mould spores and stench throughout house .house is now uninhabitable and will not find us temporary accommodation even with a 5 month old child . Truely awful service

Good customer service- I spoke to Kaz today on the phone after my policy auto updated to a new provider with an increased prize. She was able to go through a new quote for me which was a much better price. She was lovely on the phone and gave a great standard to customer service! Thank you again Kaz

My policy was taken out through a broker, but it's crucial to be cautious of the high rate of finance charged, as well as the potential for misleading information and poor communication from them and, subsequently, Source Insurance. The policy was not fit for purpose, and it was cancelled twenty-one months in without as much as an apology. I would advise you shop around. UPDATE Hi Alison, Yes, the FOS found that Source Insurance had not done anything wrong. It is a clever way to operate by keeping the responsibility at arm's length and through brokers at times. I think it would be better business practice to ensure the end user is provided with their documents sooner than 20 months after the policy has been taken out. To then cancel and offer a £10 refund due to a mistake in paperwork is not really an example of recovering a poor situation you were involved with. If there had been any acknowledgement or apology, there would have been more understanding and potential for a five-star good recovery of service review. Kind Regards Jason
