I needed last minute unoccupied home insurance whilst the sale of my property was going through, it wasn’t an easy feat - I searched so many websites and returned no results. Having had landlords insurance with NFU and AXA previously with no issues my wife insured her rental property with Orwell whilst it was unoccupied and put up for sale. This was fine until in Jan this year we needed to claim for water damage due to a leak in the attic which was finally settled in full yesterday ( 7 months later ) only after a formal complaint was made by us to Lloyds Technical Complaint Investigation Managers, after Orwell tried to substantially reduce the amount offered to settle the claim. The whole ordeal has been extremely stressful and time consuming . Our thanks go to Lloyds for their intervention

We used Orwell for unoccupied house insurance. After our dad died we needed to get house insurance for his home. It was so easy and they accommodated the fact we needed to stay in the house very occasionally as we didn’t live near by and wanted to keep an eye on the place. The price was good too and we arranged over the phone. Thank you.

Not normally one for reviews, but I felt compelled to express how delighted I am with my dealings with orwell. Everything was so easy, and arranged in around ten minutes with a price that was affordable for a policy above and beyond others in that price range.
